1. It takes two: you and a special person that you miss who could be anywhere in the world. 2. That special person would measure and share their heartbeat via a phone app. 3. Whenever the necklace that you are wearing is in the wi-fi zone, it will pick up the shared signals, and reveal the distant heart beat to you.
If you are wearing the necklace:
1. Connect the necklace to the WiFi. It is a little convoluted first time, and I would like to set it up for you on location. If you would like to change the network later, I will send you account info and you can find the instructions here. 2. Wear The Distant Heart necklace as any other necklace, and it will reveal the other person's heartbeat whenever they send it to you.
At the end of the day when we pick up the necklace, we would ask you to tell us what you though about the experience by filling in a short anonymous survey for The Distant Heart wearer.
If you are sharing your heartbeat:
1. Download a free What's My Heart Rate app for iPhoneof What's My Heart Rate app for Android 2. Setup a secret Twitter account that is linked with The Distant Heart necklace 2.1.
